Here is another recent addition to my Hot Wheels collection. The 5 Alarm ladder truck. In pink and chrome, with a yellow ladder. The markings say HW Airlines, Runway Rescue, and 68, so it is meant to be an airport fire fighting or rescue vehicle.
The basic 5 Alarm model was introduced in 2009 (copyright date 2008), as a six-wheel vehicle. In 2019 the casting was revised, being reduced to four wheels, and the ladder was shortened. The revised model has two copyright dates, 2008 and 2018, referring to the original casting, and the revisions. Made in Malaysia.
The 5 Alarm model has been produced in numerous colour schemes over the years. This 2022 version is part of the HW Rescue sub-series, and was irresistibly hideous.

ReplyDeleteMoonbase Junior has got this toy fire engine Paul. One of a few fire engines in his fleet. It does stand out.
