It's funny to think about how science has advanced in some fields since they were written, but other fields not so much.
I think the Early Man book was written shortly after "Piltdown Man" was discredited, and probably a lot of the readers were surprised to find it was a hoax.
Science keeps learning. I wonder what other things we're taught now will turn out to be wrong.
