DALEK ART

Like a lot of DALEK fans I really like Ron Turner's interpretation of those sons of Skaro.

I hasten to add this wonderful piece of original artwork above doesn't belong to me, but it's great to see some of Ron's work in vivid colour.

  2. Yes, I also really like his stuff, although his later illustrations of daleks, such as the one at the head of this feature, tend to be a bit distorted- eg. five half-spheres on the lower part!

    1. That's certainly true, Andy, but I suppose as long as it still looks dynamic I can forgive it.: )

  3. Ron's comic strips were very stylised but always dynamic,as you say Woodsy.
Check out his 50s sci fi pulp fiction paperback covers. Rarely realistic, but always dramatic, colourful and action packed.

    1. I've got a couple of the pulp science fiction books with covers by Ron, and also all the Rick Random pocket books in which many of the comic strips inside were drawn by Ron.
