Buzzin'

Ive now got the four available Pixar Lightyear ships from Mattels Hyperspeed range, just need to find Zurgs ship and the Armadillo in advance of the next wave in July.

They are really nice models considering they are based on an animation, with a good level of detail. Each ship normally comes with a Buzz figure, but the twin pack only came with one figure and a cannon accessory.

Zurgs ship is piloted by what would be a 12' android and the action figure is much larger in comparison. My friend Charles in Canada supplied this shot compared with other small figures.

My favourite so far is the XL-07 vehicle, with large side mandibles, but all of the four ship are very well designed.

The cannon accessory from the twin pack has a detachable stand and can connect to the base of any of the XL series craft.
The Zyclops warrior drones come in two packs in drop pods and are mid way between the small Buzz figure and the giant Zurg android.

  1. They're great aren't they? Lots more still to come. I'm not sure if my wallet will stand the large Zurg mothership though.

    1. No, not sure Ill be going that far. Thats the beauty of the smaller ships, they are affordable and also don't take up much display space.

Very curious about the Mothership; no pictures to be found (of the toy) but said to be 18-20 inches long...must be a section rather than whole ship, even at the Hyperspeed scale.

    3. Found some pics of Zurg's Mothership. £65 in the UK. Ouch, but it Lightyear does well it could be the big ticket toy for Christmas this year. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Disney-Pixar-Lightyear-Hyperspeed-Mothership/dp/B09P9W9TKH/ref=sr_1_1?crid=3OP4A5EGHHJME&keywords=disney+pixar+lightyear+hyperspeed&qid=1652772282&s=kids&sprefix=disney+pixar+lightyear+hyperspeed%2Ctoys%2C75&sr=1-1

Thank you Yorkie! Very interesting ship! Can’t complain much about scale here as there’s no feasible way to make such a monstrous ship, even at the Hyperspeed scale.
