ILLUMINATING ANTICS AT DONNY CAR BOOT

Not much this morning at the local car boot sale but I was pleased with the small catch I got for £3.

Picked up a handful of old die-casts for jazzing up including a nice 1979 Hot Wheels Stingray.

Find of the morning was the Empire made novelty torch blister carded set by Salco. I had one as a kid! Did you?

Anything here you like?

  1. I really like the Salco novelty torch blister card. A fine mint carded, Empire made, stunner. That's a very cool car boot find, Woodsy!

  3. Thanks guys! I sent the Missus in to negotiate and the seller asked for £1 straight away! I couldn't believe it! I had a monster torch set as a kid too I think.

I had a similar clown torch, although I think mine was slightly different ? It only had the clown head. It might have come in a box. Not sure after all these years - probably at least 50 years ago.

  6. Toy companies knew kids loved torches. Great fun. As for die casts they are our childhood.
