THE BATS IN THE HANGAR

Its been a funny old week. I'm off work at the moment. Last weekend I spotted this pair of dinosaurs in a wool shop. Knitting was a popular Jurassic pastime don't you know!

My second bodgemobile is coming on very slowly. Here it is in the Bat hangar with a fresh coat of non-black paint and protected from dust and dog hairs. At the current rate Bruce Wayne will be able to take it out around Christmas Day!

Much more road worthy is this cool plastic Mars mobile by Playmobil we snaffled in a charity shop for Junior. I really like this flat wide design for a Mars car. Do you?

Hi Woodsy it's not a Mars explorer it's from the playmobil inspired animated series called Super4, in the series it transforms into a vehicle appropriate for the region it's traveling through, so a pirate ship, a fairytale thing with massive flowers providing the drive or the vehicle it is with the wheels folded underneath, it could be a holographic projection around it, I've watched a few but can't remember the specifics

    1. Thanks for that MJ. Inside info! I've never heard of Super4! I thought it was Mars Mission 'cos its got the same air-lock tube as his Mars Station. The show sounds great for Junior.

  2. The moment I saw dinosaur and bat cave in the same sentence, I wondered if you were going to make a Classic era Bat Cave.

With the low-set cab ahead of the front wheels, the Playmobile looks like the sort of vehicle you would see at an airport. Nice.

Some carefully placed armour and metallic grey paint finish and you've got the vehicle from Aliens, the Alien figures from Lanard are the perfect scale for playmobil

I love that expression, if anyone says it's hot I always say " yeah but it's a dry heat"

    4. ha ha! I've only just found out that the girl pilot who says the pipe quote was called Ferro. I was so sad when Bill Paxton aka Hudson died. He was only 5 years older than me.
