I visited a friend’s house recently, and we played “Show and Tell” with some of his vintage toys, all saved from childhood. I thought MBC readers would like to see pix. Here's the first.
Back in the day I tried to win some Gerry Anderson Give-A-Show projectors, but they always ended at quite high a price, especially including shipping costs overseas. After getting my Thunderbirds set, I scrapped that plan, but mostly due to the space they would take. They're impressive! That said, wouldn't mind the Batman set though
Yes, I had some of these as a kid, maybe even just one. The plastic must have got hot around the bulb area and I wonder if many of them wrinkled and tore? They are very nostalgic and I can see why they are popular Arto. Batman would look great projected onto the wall, I agree!
I didn't take a picture of the inside, because the parts and the slides were in pretty rough shape. Easy to bend and tear those slides, from what I can remember.
