Niiice items! It turns out they were a sort of "Happy Meal" style promotion for a UK restaurant chain around the turn of the century (gosh I feel old saying that!)
The 'Turn of the Century' used to mean the switch form the 19th to the 20th Century, and it was a long time ago, now it is the 20th and 21st Centuries, and it is still a long time ago. I agree, a very nice little set.
