When I saw this badge online I realised that I know nothing about Bessie. I assume it was Dr. Who's car during the Pertwee years, which is odd because I was there.
Is Bessie a car you're familiar with?
Was it released as a toy?

Very familiar with Bessie (I'll send you a pic). There is a modern toy, it came with one of the dvds. Not sure if there was a vintage one.
ReplyDeleteBessie didn't really see much action, I think it appeared in 'The Daemons' while Pertwee was dashing about the english village. Even rarer is the Whomobile - did you get close to that Kev ?

ReplyDeleteI have the Corgi Bessie. It was originally released with a figure of Tom Baker as the Doctor. The one that came with the DVD set, which is the one I have, did not come with a driver. I will write this up, and send in photos. It will probably not be until the weekend.
