ROB'S AOSHIMA JUMBO ACE: THE RE-VAMP!

Woodsy,

Here is the Aoshima Jumbo Ace, which I sent you pix of last year, but I changed the top color and the grill and got rid of that hokey radar array, and I think it looks a little better, although still very”generic.”

  1. That looks great- and I love the addition of New York buildings in the background!

    1. Yes, I thought it looked sort of like something that might have appeared in the Terror of New York City episode of Thunderbirds!

  2. It's good, but is desperately in need of some panel lines and dirtying down.
    Then it could be great.
Give it a go Rob. You know you want to.

    1. Actually, I prefer to build these vintage Japanese SF models in a shiny, new toy-like state, rather than dirtied down in an attempt to look more "authentic". And I can't for the life of me get why every model nowadays has to have visible panel lines. Not for me! As a friend once observed, "You like your models to look 'showroom new!'"
