Saw Wotan's post on Avon.
Thought I'd finally send this! Near the end of January I took a trip to Tucson Arizona, and visited the Pima Air and Space Museum, among other sites.
I took a picture of this Avon Space Capsule bath toy, and meant to send it much earlier. I have several things to send, but time seems to get away from me lately.
This was one of the display cases, and looked like it might have been a fun bath toy. Of course, this now makes me want one, so I will end up trying to find one don ebay sooner or later!

I'm still looking-out for the glass Guardsman and teddy bear perfume bottles by Avon, if anyone sees them going cheap on feebleBay!

DeleteI had this as a kid up in Michigan. The floatation collar pressure fits over the capsule and sits in a channel. The toss rings are the blue and orange bits. Not sure when it vanished but I do recall shortly after the move to Texas finding the collar and blue ring in a box and not knowing what they were from and tossing them out.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure I would have known what those coloured rings were Lance. Its hard to dwell on all the amazing toys each one of us will have had chucked out as kids!
