  3. Everything! Both this and the previous b+w ident with 'MIDLANDS' under the final ATV image are seared into this toad's retinas. Living in the ATV region meant seeing it multiple times a day, until 1981 when Central took over the franchise. I'm not sure if it appeared every ad break like Film4 does, but it seemed that way.

  5. The ITC logo I remember was an earlier one, circa 1965, with a Compass graphic and a big, brassy overture (which I always liked to think was composed by Barry Gray, but I have no evidence to support). That logo opened the syndicated versions of both Stingray and Thunderbirds in the U.S., and I recall it distinctly. I thought it was a lost memory, until I stumbled on that very same logo, on the opening to a Tom Jones Variety Show DVD I got a few years back! One of my undone projects is to splice that cool ITC logo onto the front of one of my Thunderbirds DVDs, to try and recreate that euphoria we U.S. kids had when we saw Thunderbirds for the first time. (That same logo might have also been on U.S. prints of The Prisoner, but I can't verify that.)

    1. Ha, I confused ATV with ITC, sorry. Maybe you guys never saw an ITC logo, since it was for export product only? Anyways, the ITC logo I speak of was breathtaking.
