1968 ALFA ROMEO CARABO

I adored this car as a kid when I had a small Matchbox die-cast version.

Just look at it in real life, its even more wondrous!

What do you think readers?

Clearly a vehicle requiring some dexterity to enter and exit. The young lady standing next to it suggests it is very low, so I looked it up. Overall height is just 39 inches, or 990 mm according to Wikipedia. The scissor doors pivot upwards and forwards. What a stunning car.

  2. Oh yes. Still got my Matchbox version. If only the 60s futuristic designs had become reality and we'd all be driving around in cars like this now. We'd probably all have really bad backs though.

  3. I saw about 4 of these Matchbox cars at a car boot today. Didn't get one as I had my eye on five others, which I'll blog soon.
