While I was in Cyprus a few years back, we were all sitting on the veranda, enjoying a beer one evening. Suddenly, out of the dark, a mantis flew in and settled on my mother in laws head. Her face was a picture. Luckily, the beer softened the impact and I was able to rescue the poor thing and help it to find a more comfortable perch!
