HAN SOLO AT STARS' END BY BRIAN DALEY

Do you remember these old paperbacks readers?

I collected them from car boot sales but never read them. I loved the cover art though!

Sadly all got sold on my old toy stall but I would recognise the books anywhere.

What were the others called? Anyone recall?

  1. Never read any Star Wars but I seem to recall seeing one called Splinter of the Mind's eye. Was it by Alan Dean Foster?

    2. Han Solo's Revenge was one of the other titles. I'm sure there was one more, but can't remember it's name.

Splinter of the Mind's Eye was another story featuring Luke and Leia.

  2. Splinter was an Alan Dean Foster novel, sat between the release of ep 4 and 5, so Luke and Leia's relationship is a bit cozy! Also features the planet Mimban, which turned up in the film Solo. Stars End was a cracking book, the first of a trilogy, followed by Revenge and then HS and the Lost Legacy. Lando Calrissian also starred in a trilogy of books by a different author, but much less well written. Brian Daley also wrote the Star Wars Radio Series, which expand greatly on the original trilogy backstory. Sadly, Brian Daley passed away quite recently.

  3. Cover art on Stars End is by Wayne Douglas Barlow, who did the excellent Filed Guide to Extra Terrestrials and did the creature design on Avatar
