NOBOLAND TOY SUBMARINES

This is an interesting Japanese website showing lots of neat plastic toy subs, many of which have Sci-Fi chops.

Do you recognise any?

Line 7, photo 5 is the Hot Wheels Fathom This or Submarine, first released in 1998. This was released as a Bat-sub in one of the Hot Wheels Batman 5-packs. Line 7, photo 6 is the Matchbox Submersible, first issued in 1999. These are both die-cast and plastic, rather than plastic. The toy on Line 2, photo 7 reminds me of the Peel P50 motor car, with lots of additions.

  2. Next to the Matchbox and Hotwheels, at the right end is a plastic Majorette sub from the back of a low loader. On line five in the middle is the Shado UFO submarine that appeared in the memorabilia guide. Lovely thing

  3. The blue one in the centre of the top line appeared in GI Joe line and next to the orange Fathom This is the Playmobil DSV. A few more plastic ones on that line too

    1. Sorry Wotan but have to disagree with the blue sub if you mean it is the Barracuda/Manowar sub. The Joe sub was issued in blue over black, black over blue, and grey over black. It looks a little similar but is quite different imo

The 5th row 5th sub (1st yellow one) is a Stingray clone.

  5. I'm sure you all know this. You can click on any of the subs to see a whole page on each one.
