Remember the days when buying sensible shoes for school was fun?
I had a pair of these Moonshot shoes as a youngster and can still remember how cool the moon surface sole looked, but what a total lack of grip they had!
I much preferred my Clarks Commandos, which even had it's own dedicated comic strip, drawn by Tom Kerr.
I adored my Wayfinders with the little compass Scoop. I must have had the moon shoes too but can't remember. I see Clarks Commandos pin badges all the time at boot sales but no shoes! Were they comfy?
ReplyDeleteI don't remember them not being comfy, Woodsy, just sensible. I wouldn't have used them to play out, of course, preferring my black and white baseball boots!

Snake belts were ace scoop. Yes! So clever. A snake shaped double buckle and elastic belt. Cooler than cool!
DeleteYes indeed,, Woodsy. Do you remember they looked lovely and flat when new but it didn't take long for the elastic to lose its shape and fold over?;)
