  1. Sad to hear that. She was also in an episode of Blakes 7.

  2. Very sad, Kev. She was good in Quatermass and the Pit, but I particularly liked her performance in the Man in a Suitcase episode,'All that Glitters'.

  3. Coincidentally, ITV4 in the UK is screening The Avengers episode, 'From Venus with Love' today, which features Barbara as the character, Venus.

  4. very sad news Scoop. I adored Barbara Shelley. Besides Q and the Pit I loved her role as the skeptical Mother in Law in Dracula Prince of darkness and as Carla in The Gorgon, two of my favourite Hammer horrors. With Ingrid Pitt passing and now Barbara, only Caroline Munro and Madelaine Smith and to some extent Valerie Leon are left from the big scream queens from the House of Hammer.
