16/12 BREAKAWAY EAGLE FRIEGHTER

Keeping with my theme of revisiting my past posts, here's a few of my photos of the sell-out Eagle Freighter from 2018. This was the first of Sixteen 12's Eagle episode range, which have so far proved extremely successful for them. Unfortunately, Covid has had a hand holding up recent releases, but hopefully as things improve normallity will be resumed.

  1. Nice models... I'd have gone potty if i could have got these at an affordable price as a teenager! I held off on getting a white Dinky Freighter and then they went and changed the production to blue! Grrrr!
On another S:1999 note, I was always annoyed by the Saturn V second stage nozzle frames that were slapped inside the engine bells. What the heck were they supposed to be? If they were meant to disguise the SFX Freon exhaust nozzles, who cared? As it was, putting a baffle in a rocket exhaust bell was NOT a good idea!

    1. Absolutely right, certainly not a good idea in reality, Lewis, but I suppose they added a bit of detail to the model or maybe covered up the screw heads holding the bells on.;)

  2. More great shots Scoop , I particularly like your use of light. I made sure I got one of these when it was released as it goes nicely with my Product Enterprise VIP Eagle.
Anyone heard any whispers regarding Eaglemoss' version yet ?

    1. Thanks Fenton. I'm glad you got one, I imagine they're quite sought after now, considering they were first. The P.E. VIP Eagle is one of my favourites as it offers an alternative pod colour scheme to the Sixteen 12 version.
I must admit I've not heard anything about the Eaglemoss Eagle, but I suppose everything has slowed down or been put on hold due to Covid. My fingers are still crossed.:)
