REMEMBERING FANDERSON 2019 PART 1

Sadly no Conventions or Exhibitions of note for me to look back on this year thanks to Covid, so I thought I'd remind myself of the Fanderson Convention I attended in 2019. It was announced that would be the last convention of this sort hosted by Fanderson which is a great shame, as all the hard working organisers really knew how to throw a party dedicated to Gerry and Sylvia Anderson's film and TV series. Plenty of special guests attended including Dee Anderson, daughter of Sylvia; Former SHADO operatives, Penny Spencer and Georgina Moon; Puppeteers Judy Preece and Mary Turner; Peter Hitchcock who worked at APF as a special effects assistant; Susan Jameson who guest starred in UFO and Space:1999;Christian Roberts who appeared in the UFO episode, The Long Sleep; Susan Jameson and Michael Jayston recalled their appearance in the UFO episode, The Sound of Silence; Gary Raymond who appeared in the UFO episode, The Man Who Came Back; Vehicle designer, Mike Trim; The team who worked on Terrahawks, including Steve Begg who went on to work on the Bond films; The original Art display showing orginal art boards from TV21, Lady Penelope and others; Last, but certainly not least the attendees.

In part 2 I'll remind myself of some of the fabulous model and puppet displays.
