THANKSGIVING'S BIRD

Hello Woodsy

Your blog post THIS YEAR'S BIRD deserves a follow-up.

Thursday was Thanksgiving, the one holiday all US citizens can agree on.

As it's during COVID-19 when it's recommended that families do not travel from afar to get together, we are home just the two of us.

No need for a full Turkey so this year it was a huge Turkey Breast with potatoes baked in a mix of Apricot Jam and Dijon Mustard.

The attached photo is THIS YEAR'S BIRD or that part of it we need.

Keep well,

  4. It's one huge turkey breast that will feed the two of us for four meals!

I don't drink wine so can't recommend one, the mustard reduces the sweetness of the apricot leaving a fruity tasting sauce.

Sorry Kid and Woodsy, no deliveries.

  5. Those roast potatoes look so good, I'm going to have to break-out the cheese and bisquits! And it's 1.35am here! And grapes . . .

    1. Mum's not well, so I'm on sort of Fire Watch if you know what I mean Woodsy, not seeking sympathy, just understanding for my midnight snacking (I'm off for a yogurt in a minute and it's 1.47am!!), and those spuds, tate's, tatties, tate'ers do look good!
