CEREAL SERIAL

Reader Tony P from Australia, home of R & L premiums, kindly sent me this shot of three unmade kits from the car series - the Tow Truck, E-Type Jaguar Convertible and Chrylser Valiant Stationwagon (bottom) as seen on my earlier post.
Arto, who is also as voracious a collector as myself, also sent some sets of Vintage Vehicles, such as Stepehenson's Rocket, a Covered Wagon, Steamboat, Tram,Stagecoach and a Kangaroo with wheels amongst other things!
Its surprising that these delicate premiums are still in circulation today, let alone, still unmade and in their original packets!

  1. As a Sydneysider, I remember that well into the 90's, you could still pick up R&L kits in their original baggies at collector markets like the Granville Swap meet which was held in the lovely old Art Deco Crest Cinema hall.
Sadly that too has slid over memory's event horizon!

My bible for R&L toys is this book, seemingly unavailable now.
    Damn you, Tempus Fugit!
