Reader Tony P from Australia, home of R & L premiums, kindly sent me this shot of three unmade kits from the car series - the Tow Truck, E-Type Jaguar Convertible and Chrylser Valiant Stationwagon (bottom) as seen on my earlier post.
Arto, who is also as voracious a collector as myself, also sent some sets of Vintage Vehicles, such as Stepehenson's Rocket, a Covered Wagon, Steamboat, Tram,Stagecoach and a Kangaroo with wheels amongst other things!
Its surprising that these delicate premiums are still in circulation today, let alone, still unmade and in their original packets!
As a Sydneysider, I remember that well into the 90's, you could still pick up R&L kits in their original baggies at collector markets like the Granville Swap meet which was held in the lovely old Art Deco Crest Cinema hall.
