A MYSTERY FROM BILL EVERATT: HIS THUNDERBIRD 2

Woodsy

Here is a question for the readers. Sometime in the mid to late 1960s I remember having a small plastic Thunderbird 2 kit. I think it was larger than the Kellogg's premiums, it could have been a premium with some other manufacturer.

Or possibly one of these mail offs.

It was not a Lincoln kit, and it was somewhat smaller than the 350th imai model.

Also the windows on the flight deck were gapped.

Do you recognise the description. It was about 2 1/2 inches long. So a pretty small kit. I remember playing with it often.

Any ideas?

  1. Weren't there some from Smith's crisps? Might it have been one of those?

  2. Spot on Kevin! I did a search online and there they were. I guess you had to collect a couple of packet tokens and send off for one?

I was beginning to think I'd imagined it. Thanks Kevin.
