MYSTERY MEN

On a field trip to a few nearby antique joints I came across some mystery toys. if you can ID them it stop me going crazy!

First up is this cheapo unbranded plastic rocket carrier. The helicopter behind it might be related too.

This robotic looking figure doesn't ring any bells either. You?

So too this is the white robotic robotic figure behind Captain Planet. It has spindly green stick legs and a head which can be pulled up. There's a red plastic head cloth at the back of his head.

Last is this dapper-dressed see-through headed Dr.Who character next to the Cyberman. Its dated 2004 and is 12 inches tall.

He's missing a shoe.

Go figure!

  2. The pink and blue trucks are Wells/Wells-Brimtoy, the artic looks like a copy of the Blue Box Shell Tanker but with missiles! The vinyl superheroes are My Busy Book figures from Phidal, the Helicopter is Tri-ang/Hornby-Triang

    2. If it is not a knock off or a mainland asia show toy, I'm more inclined to say it is not a sentai toy but a metal hero toy. The use of chrome was rarely used for sentai figure toys but often for some of the robots, but often used for the metal heroes figures. The helmet/eye shape reminds me very much of Jiban or Winspector.

Sadly I can't find a proper match for this figure at this time. Then again I'm more interested in that Shado Mobile it is standing behind.

  4. The silver container lorry is the one which always appeared in Thunderbirds airport scenes, scurrying away before Fireflash ploughs into it. Theres a lot of vintage 60s Matchbox cars in there too.
