Penelope was more paired with Peter Perfect. Tom Slick, while a driver, was already somewhat in a relationship.
Speaking of Wacky... Kind of funny the Anthill Mob in the Bulletproof Bomb became heroes when the car gained intelligence and was called Chuggaboom when spun off to The Perils of Penelope Pitstop series.
The mob changed a few names as well. They went from Clyde, Ring-A-Ding, Rug Bug Benny, Mac, Danny, Kirby and Willy to Clyde, Dum Dum, Pockets, Snoozy, Softie, Yak Yak and Zippy.
Always great to hear from you Lance and your wide knowledge of toys never ceases to amaze. Of course Peter Perfect! I remember him! My favourite vehicle in the Wacky Races was the Creepy Coupe if that's its right name. I was a monster nut as a kid!
Very neat as it happens! I recognise the M from somewhere? Paint it pink and it would be ideal for Penelope Pittstop!

Ta Hugh. Yeah, that spider leg M looks familiar to me too! Good old Penelope Pittstop. Did she go out with Roger Ramjet?
DeleteI would think that Hannah Barbera were probably influenced by the Japanese cartoon- MJ Southcoast base
DeleteSounds still work on that?

More useless knowledge from Lance!
