BIRTHDAY SWEET: MARK'S HEAD FOR HONEY

Hi, Woodsy.

I just had a look at MOONBASE CENTRAL (which I've been visiting, now, for a number of years).

I just wanted to share the images of the Gilbert Doll Store Display I saved from the eBay auction in 2011 in case you want to use them.

I can't remember what it went for, now - but it was well out of my league.

I love the blog, by the way; as I say: I've been visiting it for a few years, now, and there's always something interesting popping up.

I did find a couple of eBay images that show TWO versions of the doll. I am always very suspicious about this kind of thing...... but here they are. I also saved the auction description, which reads:

2 Honey West Dolls by Gilbert 1960's

2 vintage Honey West dolls by Gilbert. These are from the TV drama"Honey West" in 1960's. Right one is the 1st edition & the left is the 2nd. Each one has different face &body. With Judo suit, Judo instruction book, pistol case, binoculars & pistol.

I do wonder if the doll on the left is an overseas edition; the Gilbert U.N.C.L.E. dolls had U.K. equivalents which had the Gilbert heads and different bodies.

Anyway,

Attached are the ex-eBay images of three of the doll auctions I saved -- together with some "other" images....

Best,

Mark R.
