I recently picked up this cardboard crate of modern Action Men in a charity shop. It was a very fair price.
This lot of Nineties and Noughties men were on top.
Hidden underneath were two vintage goodies, the Palitoy Mountie's Brutus dog and the Cherilea German Motorcycle and Sidecar!
There may also be a vintage Deep Sea Diver outfit but the figure its in is dated 1992.
Blue, who's 13 now, cast his trained eye over this lot too and gave Brutus a little growl!
Next job is to clean the mildew off some of the figures.

DeleteWe had the dog, I'm sure you could only get it as a mail-away from the star-saving promotion? Came with a gold-chain (an aluminium-alloy chain anodized gold!).

Yep, its a mail-away Brutus. I had one too as a nipper but I'm amazed I collected stars and sent off for it. Not like me at all to be so industrious!
DeleteI'd recommend tooth paste and a soft old tooth brush to gently clean those battle hardened old Action Man faces, Woodsy. Just be careful around the eyes and eyebrows. It's a quick and effective method. That's how I've always done it for very good results.

ReplyDeleteIts moulded on Bri, a sort of harness and grip. Its from Action Man Surf Patrol Atom set. 1990's I think.
