I suppose they were in the 1950's in the USA Mish, huge finned space cars! the closest I've ever been to one was sitting in my Dad's Zephyr 6 in the Sixties. Not so huge but it did have fins!
Hot Wheels have done many futuristic designs, either in the Mainline or in one of their more expensive premium ranges. There is also a Best of the 1960s Eagle Annual, which I do not have, but I do have the 1950s edition.

ReplyDeleteThis level of futuristic styling has gone from vehicle design I feel nowadays Paul. Only HotWheels seem to still capture the spirit in miniature.
