SHREDDED WHEAT CARS OF THE FUTURE USA

Hello Woodsy,

I just came across this book and thought the ad it reproduced might be of interest given the Future Cars featured recently.

Eagle was always ahead of the pack.

    1. Beautiful illustrations Arto, thanks. They remind me of Eric Eden's Summer special illustrations of futuristic vehicles including the Nuclear Pulse and the Snow Train.

    1. I suppose they were in the 1950's in the USA Mish, huge finned space cars! the closest I've ever been to one was sitting in my Dad's Zephyr 6 in the Sixties. Not so huge but it did have fins!

Hot Wheels have done many futuristic designs, either in the Mainline or in one of their more expensive premium ranges. There is also a Best of the 1960s Eagle Annual, which I do not have, but I do have the 1950s edition.

    1. This level of futuristic styling has gone from vehicle design I feel nowadays Paul. Only HotWheels seem to still capture the spirit in miniature.
