MIDTOWN COMICS NYC

Part of the clear-out here are my old toy business cards.

Here's one I remember from New York in 2002, Mid-Town Comics on Times Square.

Have you ever been to this shop?

Me and the Missus bobbed in and I picked up a tin Green Hornet lunch box and tin thermos, a tin Land of the Giants lunch box, a Green Hornet Captain Action carded outfit, a speed racer key ring and maybe some other bits. They were all modern re-issues and eventually came out of storage and graced my toy stall in 2005.

Here's my mate Mark manning it back then at Doncaster Racecourse with the 3 tin items on offer. Those were the days!

  1. 'Midtown Comics' still exist in at least three locations. I use the one near Grand Central Station on occasion. They and the British 'Forbidden Planet' have survived where many others have failed.

    1. Glad its still around Terran. I really enjoyed my trip there. I went to another NYC shop that sold vintage toys, the name of which I forget now. Alpha City? I think you've been too?

  2. I've been to the Midtown Comics that Terranova's been to, near Grand Central Station.
I bought a 'Metaluna Mutant' (from 'This Island Earth') figurine in the 'Universal Monsters' series by a company I can't remember the name of.
It came with a free, bonus, 'Interositor'!
    Mish.
