I mentioned Silly Soap the other day.
I'm sure I recall something like that. Here it is as featured online. Soap in a spray can.
I could be wrong. This could just be my mind playing tricks on me.
For example, there were other silly products like silly string, which you can still get.
And then there's Crazy Foam!
My memories a bit like crazy foam drying up. I just can't decide if I really did have any of these as a kid in the UK in the Sixties.

There was definitely Silly String and, I think, Crazy Foam (though it could have been in the early 70s, not the 60s) but I don't remember Silly Soap at all.

DeleteI had a can of the orange Crazy Foam innthe mid sixties, absolutely gorgeous smell, but as much use as a rubber spanner. Apart from making a right mess and then crusting up and drying out, it was about as much fun as a tax return

ReplyDeleteIt was very expensive, so I only ever had two cans of the stuff, with the monkey and parrot caps. I remember having the caps for a long time afterwards!
I was disappointed that it wasn't quite as amazing as the advertising implied. I distinctly remember making a boat out of it and floating it in my bath, only to see it dissolve pretty quickly in the warm water!
A foam boat Looey! Love it! There's nothing quite like foam at bathtime! Batter than bubbles!

ReplyDeleteThe closest I had was Mr Bubble which I was allergic to so that was a rather short lived experience. Ah the fun of the 60's!
Skin's a sensitive thing Lance. Our Grandson is allergic to most suncreams, which is a pain in summer.
