GOOD MORNING FROM MOONBASE

Had a few days off on shore leave from Moonbase.

Just over a week ago me and the Missus had a serious car crash coming home from a day out in the East Riding.

It was an incredibly shocking and frightening experience but we weren't injured. The Moonbase motor was written off though and we waved goodbye to it last Thursday when it was taken away on a very big version of the Dinky Car Transporter.

Its taken a while to get back on the saddle and I'd like to thank the Mighty Wotan for holding the reins last week.  Thanks Wote.

I'll get back to normal emailing and replying to new comments over the next couple of days.

Happy Midsummer guys.

  3. Sorry to hear about this, Woodsy, I didn't know anything about it, until now.
I hope you and and your wife are managing to get over such an unpleasant and traumatic experience. Thankfully, no injuries to both of you, but these things still knock you for six. Take care and keep well.

I am just glad that you and Mrs Moonbase are OK. Good to hear that you are able to again resume the helm of Moonbase Central (does a Moonbase have a helm ?). Take it easy.

  9. Very sorry to hear of the crash, Woodsy, but very glad to know you're both alright.
I've been there a couple of times, but so long as nobody got hurt and you weren't driving a precious classic then it'll pass, believe me.
Very best wishes to you both -- Paul

  13. Thank goodness you are both fine. Hopefully the insurance proceeds will enable you to buy a SHADO mobile or a FAB 1 to cruise the English countryside.

    Cheers, Tony P

  14. Holy Crap Woodsy! I just saw this post trying to play catch-up! I'm so glad you and the missus are okay!!! Sorry about losing the car though - that sucks. Even in lockdown we have to get out to buy groceries and such. Just glad to hear you're alright!

    1. Thanks very much Ed. We were lucky. Got over the shock of it all now and even got a new car! I'm not keen on driving any distance though but the Missus is fully back in the saddle.
