THE BULLET AIRSHIP

Futuristic airships are on my mind at the mo.

Googling I found this from 2010, the fabulous Bullett.

Like a huge space maggot, Bullet was the biggest inflatable vehicle in the world. Unsure if it still is but it looks incredible.

You can read more here. What do you think?

It looks like the External Tank from the Space Shuttle - just stand it upright.

    1. It does Paul. It also looks like a strange alien maggot-like craft that featured in early Project SWORD strips in SOLO comics. Can I find a picture on the blog? Can I heck!

  2. It also seems to have not gone much further than a second inflation test. All the articles I've found only show the inflation test pictures and mention quite a lot of speculation about "could" not "can". For an aircraft that was supposed to test fly in 2011-12, data is sorely lacking. Even NASA moved their page on this to archive status 9 years ago.

    1. Hmm. It does look rather sad now doesn't Lance. Thanks for the links. I feel rather deflated!
