LONE STAR DIE-CAST MISSILE LAUNCHER

Hello Woodsy

As requested: The Lone Star Missile Launcher mounted on a trailer with a Lone Star paratrooper foe scale.

This fires a rather deadly metal missile. Woolworths again was my source back in the 50's for this Lone Star military diecast range and figures.

Attached are photos of the box off the web too.

  1. Ive got that little beast and it is rather deadly - if the missile didnt take your eye out, the release lever always snapped back and nipped my fingers! Also the weight of the metal rocket invariably tipped the muzzle down and shot the floor!

    1. Sounds lethal! ha ha. Would the missile take out a carpet battalion of Airfix figures?

  2. The missile put a crack in the hull of my Tri-ang clockwork Sherman Tank. It could also shatter a metal toy soldier such as a Britains sentry, so no real loss there!

Do you mean Exocet ? This was a French anti-ship missile that could be launched from ships or aircraft. It served on both sides in the Falklands War. Yes, I know this is being pedantic of me.
