I didn't know what to make of this I saw on an old auction.
I quite Zorro and his flashing blade as I was a big sword fan as a kid. I would have enjoyed a plastic rapier. I'm pretty sure I had one.
But no. This crazy set tries to bring Zorro up to date. Forget the foil, you get a signal flash gun!
I'm not usually bothered by what Wote would call an anachronism [don't try to say it fast!] but the gun just doesn't belong!
Zorro needs to slash a Z. Give him a sword!

I am with you on this, giving Zorro a battery-powered gun is just silly. The card has a barcode in the corner, so it must be fairly modern. I remember watching the Zorro TV series with Guy Williams from Lost in Space. It was a great show. Set in the early 19th Century, when California was still ruled by Spain. Wish I had a sword and mask set like that.
ReplyDeleteYes I remember Zorro Paul. there are some amazingly old Zorro action figures by the likes of Marx and Lone Star. It must be fun to collect them.
