Talking Pictures TV in the UK are showing, tomorrow Friday 17th April: 7.30am [morning] The Strange World of Planet X - from 1958 7pm [evening] Hangar 18 - from 1980 I've not seen either. Have you?
Got The Strange World of Planet X (or Cosmic Monsters in the U.S.A.) on DVD. It's very much your usual British B movie fare. Pretty much a cut price Day the Earth Stood Still. I originally saw Hanger 18 at the cinema. Not bad, if you think of it as a TV movie. Both definitely worth a watch, though.
Saw The Strange World this morning Scoop and really enjoyed it. Hangar 18 is on You Tube so I'll catch up with that during another 3 weeks of isolation!
Cosmic Monsters is a great old SF chestnut! And speaking of chestnuts, Gaby Andre, wow! One of the first films I was allowed to stay up late at night to watch on TV - scared the bejeezuz out of me! Very much of a piece with The Trollenburg Terror/The Crawling Eye.
