DON'T MAKE A DIORAMA OUT OF A CRISIS!

Eagle-eyed reader Tony K has spotted this neat card diorama of Quatermass and the Pit and the Knightsbridge Apemen.

Its available on Etsy.

Its being advertised standing on a rather lovely pile of DVD's! Now that's some TV right there!

What do you think?

Really nice. A cardboard cut-out toy theatre. To quibble, the signs on the wall at top left say HOBBS LANE (top sign) but HOB'S LANE (lower sign).

    1. Thats a reference to a conversation in the movie regarding the older name Hob meaning the Devil. The street name was changed.

Thank you, I did not realise that. Must watch the film.

  3. I should have mentioned there's also Nigel Kneale's 'The Stone Tape' card theatre diorama available, Woodsy. I've no recollection of that series from 1972, but then again I was only nine and may have been distracted by Doctor Who and Star Trek :)

    1. Wow, I'll have to look Tone. the Stone Tape was a one-off TV play about radio electronics, a spooky house and the suggested ability of stone walls to record ghosts. It often features on lists of the most frightening British TV programmes ever. A true 70's classic and well worth a watch Tone.
