CAPTAIN SCARLET SPIN-A-WIN GAME: DID THE MYSTERONS MAKE IT?

Spin-a-Win. This is a very unusual Captain Scarlet Board Game.

I wasn't able to google it all, neither a reference nor an image!

I first saw it years ago in 2009 on the long-established Eagle Transporter Forum and that is where it still is, I checked! Perhaps these are the only images of this game anywhere?

Have a look. They're about half way down. Look for Spin-a-Win. You don't have to be a forum member to look I don't think.

I've seen many board games at toy fairs and online too including all of the Captain Scarlet board games both from the Sixties and the Nineties. You can even get brand-new facsimiles of the classic Sixties Waddington's board game from nostalgia shops these days like this online sweets shop! https://www.sweetandnostalgic.co.uk/captain-scarlet---retro-family-board-game-10222-p.asp [although this one does have a different cover to one I know].

No such luck with the Spin-a-Win game. No modern copies. Its just not well known at all. I couldn't find it in my Anderson collectables book 'bible' by Dennis Nicholson from Oz. Nor could I find it on the Supermerchandisation Extra list on the cool Andersonic Fanzine website http://www.andersonic.co.uk/page7.htm

However, the Spin-a-Win board Game IS listed on the old Super M reference site Captain Scarlet Merchandise but unlike many of the collectables listed there are two things missing, a picture and the name of the maker. http://lester.demon.nl/superm/scarlet/merchand.html

I can't find any other Spin-a-Win games either. You would have thought another TV show got the same treatment but it doesn't look like it. Or?

This really is a mysterious item. I think the Mysterons must have made it.

Like I always ask, has anyone got one? Who made it?

Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons - Spinning Game For All Ages. The Playing Instructions sheet says to obtain a Super Masters Spinners Badge collect three coupons from Spin-A-Win games, and send them to Thomas Salter Ltd, so I would assume that is the maker ? It lists four games in the series: Captain Scarlet; Football; Ski Run; and Space Flight. It also says to Watch out for Further Games in this Exciting Series. Board games are not my field, and even after reading the instructions I am still not clear on how the game actually worked. Also, did Captain Scarlet ever actually fly an Angel Interceptor, as he does in the game ?
