ATLAS THUNDERBIRD 2 FREEBIE

A couple of days ago I mentioned that Eaglemoss are planning to produce a Space:1999 Eagle Transporter as part of their Hero Collector series.

I hope it goes ahead and is successful. Assuming it's available in the U.K., I, for one will be signing up to support it.

One project from Atlas that didn't get past the initial trail was their Gerry & Sylvia Anderson model collection.

I signed up and received a Thunderbird 2 model, similar in size to the iconic Dinky toy.

I even heralded it on Moonbase Central. Sadly, it appeared not enough people signed up and the series was cancelled, although, on the plus side everyone who had taken the trouble to subscribe got to keep their Thunderbird 2 for free.

Here's a few old photos I took for that post.

The model had a removable pod with a tiny Thunderbird 4.

No legs but it did come with a nice display stand.

You also got a free International Rescue Key Ring and a collector card.

Here's a photo comparing it with the Dinky Thunderbird 2 die-cast.

    1. I'm afraid the offer is long gone now, Steveo10. You might find the odd one on eBay.
