I recently saw a boxed Petite typewriter and thought wow! I so remember those!
Not sure if Petite was the maker's name or just the brand but it really stuck in my mind. The typewriters themselves were very plasticy but worked fine. A sort of first typewriter really.
The actual experience of typing was so tactile and clonky. The Petite made so much noise when the hammers hit but it was worth the clunk when the letters appeared on the paper.
I can't imagine what I wrote with my first typewriter. Probably letters to my Mum!
Later on when I got an adult model I wrote songs.
Did you have a Petite typewriter? What was it like? Did they do anything else?
