ALAN HARRIS R.I.P.

Sad to read this week that actor, Alan Harris has died aged 81.

During his long career, Alan appeared as a background artist in many productions.

He appeared in many productions including Flash Gordon, Superman, Doctor Who, Space:1999, UFO, and The Protectors. He was briefly seen in the feature film, Journey to the Far Side of The Sun', as a photographer, and a Q branch Technician testing the rocket firing Ghetto Blaster in the Bond film, 'The Living Daylights'.

He appeared in all three of the original Star Wars films, notably playing Bossk, the reptilian bounty hunter in 'The Empire Strikes Back'.

Another 'Star Wars' claim to fame, which he mentioned during a talk at one of the SHADO Con events, was that Alan was Harrison Ford's body double for the body cast used for the Hans Solo carbonite  prop.

Our sincere condolences to his family.
