JACK DAVIS ALBUM COVER

An LP cover of mine by one Jack Davis. Who else!

What's your fave Jack D artwork?

Did he ever illustrate in Creepy and Eerie for Warren Publishing anyone?

  1. I like a lot of Jack's illustrations, Woodsy, but his Kelly's Heroes poster art ranks amongst my fave. I've not seen your LP cover before, Woodsy. In a way its chaotic fast pace reminds me of the 'Wacky Races' style Toyota TV advert, where the Corolla Hybrid races past historical clasic cars :)

    1. I like the TV ad Tone. I've seen it before. It is Wacky Races like. Who was your fave in the Wacky Races? Mine was the Creepy Coupe - at least i think it was called that. A haunted house on wheels!

    2. Yep, the Gruesome Twosome in the Creepy Coupe had to be the fave for the horror fan. Good call, Woodsy :)

  2. As far as I know, Jack Davis drew headshots of Uncle Creepy and Cousin Eerie that were used for introductions and letters pages and the like but, most notably, he drew that iconic cover for Creepy #1. There's a great Art of Jack Davis book still available but it's nowhere near big enough!
