SUPERCELEBRATION PUPPET DISPLAY

You can’t have a Fanderson convention without puppets and Supercelebration certainly had no shortage of original and replica examples.

This replica Captain Blue puppet looks great and would certainly fool most people.

As would this replica Captain Scarlet.

This is an original Lieutenant Green, the giveaway in this case is those pink eyes, although sometimes the expert owners of these puppets do occasionally replace the eyes with more realistic ones.

Here’s an original Captain Black. This puppet sported some original gloved hands.

There were some original separate hands on display that had surprisingly survived the years.
This is an original Troy Tempest hand complete with wrist watch.

As it was the fiftieth anniversary of the first screening of The Secret Service, Father Unwin was on display as well as Matthew Harding. Both these puppets are originals.

‘Hank’, in his British Rail uniform, as seen in the Secret Service episode, Last Train to Buffers Halt. Hank was one of those  puppets that formed part of the ‘repertoire’ of heads that turned up in various episodes as different characters.

This great looking replica Secret Service case was also displayed, complete with replica Matthew.

Back to original puppets and here’s everyone’s favourite nine year old W.I.N. most special agent, Joe McClaine A.K.A. Joe 90.

His step father, Prof. Ian McClaine.

Joe’s ‘Uncle’ Sam Loover, and long-time friend of the Prof.

There were several excellent replica  ‘larger’ head puppets from Thunderbirds and Stingray.

The Mighty Titan on his throne with the ‘plant of doom’ by his feet.

Ned Cook, reporter with the National Television Broadcasting System, who along with his cameraman, Joe, finds himself in deep water during the Thunderbirds episode, Terror in New York City.

Lady Penelope -Elegance, Charm and Deadly Danger!

Her chauffeur, Parker.  Probably the most popular and arguably, the best known character in Thunderbirds.

Scott Tracy and one of his younger brothers, Gordon.

Jeff Tracy’s manservant, Kyrano.

I have to admit this is a taster, as there were a great many more puppets on display, there was even puppet demonstrations in the corridor.

Thanks go to Chris, Richard and others for helping to put on this great display.

  1. Amazing display Scoop and excellent shots. The models are all works of art and its kind of the owners to share them with fans. Thanks for sharing here as well!

    1. My pleasure Woodsy. My Supercelebration posts are proving very popular with quite a few people outside of the blog. :)
