As reader, Yorkie raised the question of a ready made 1:72 scale SKY 1, in the absence of a Sixteen 12 version here's a few photos of my old Imai one. Very inaccurate, I know, but I still reckon it's a nice model.
Great work. The colour is spot on. Did you ever get the Aoshima version with the improved nose parts you mentioned in your previous comments below? It would be interesting to compare the two. IIRC I threw mine away as although the nose was much better the rocket pods were still way too small and inaccurate. Sky One was a mighty beefy fighter.
Thanks Woodsy. As you might remember I posted these pics a while ago on the blog, but I do like them. It's nice to do some outdoor shots, it makes a change from the a lunar surface or the bottom of the sea. ;D
