The recent backlash against plastics is making me feel guilty.
My entire childhood was filled with plastic toys and plastic items were all around my parents' home.
I'm not entirely sure what to feel about it now with the anti-plastic lobby gathering pace. The Blue Planet images of plastics scattered all through the oceans were quite terrible.
I enjoyed getting plastic toys as a kid but maybe it'll be a thing of the past one day. Did our generation simply have too much?
Are you feeling plastic guilt?
Not remotely. Plastic doesn't make it's own way to the ocean, it's people disposing of it irresponsibly that do that!
ReplyDeleteFair point Kevin.
DeleteTotally agreed. And, moreover, this new "Curch of Climatology" is only a way to s***w people, expecially the low income ones, with new taxes.
DeleteAgree with Kevin there. The problem is not plastic, it is the people (mis)using it.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, it's not just plastics in the ocean- there is the problem of recycling (or not), energy use, and use of resources. Having said that, what is done is done, and the problem is the present and future, not our past!
