HOME-MADE SPACEX SURVEYOR 2 TOY: ALL DONE AND DUSTED!

Phew! That wasn't easy especially the blue windscreen. After a couple of duds I ended up sawing a Hermesetas box in half! It sort of worked I hope.

Not sure what to do next!

  2. These models just get better each time. Bright light and deep shadows add a cool dramatic feel to the pics. Well done, Woodsy :)

  4. Another Doozy, Woodsy!

Looks like a fruitful Sunday after all - one boot sale less, one finished creation more. :)

Very inspired as ever and a lovely rendition of a classic vehicle.

  5. Very convincing, would have thought this was a commercially available toy.

  6. Very nice work, your efforts are almost becoming indistinguishable from mass produced toys! -That's a compliment! It's what I am constantly trying for in my work. The only thing that still looks like a model as opposed to a "toy" is the lack of vacuum-metallized chrome parts. The off the shelf chrome sparys have never been up to the task of replicating that particular look.
However, if you have an airbrush, you REALLY should experiment with some Alclad II chrome paint over a gloss black base coat. The Alclad is pricey, but it goes a long way and the results are AMAZING!
    Happy modelling!
