I've got six of the TV21 Holiday Specials. I'd always believed the Summer Extra (with Fireball on the cover) was first, but I've read that it was the Stingray one. However, I've also read that it was the Fireball one which was first, so I'm not 100% sure to be honest.
I was always under the impression the Stingray one was first, Kid, but like you say, it was a long time ago and difficult to know for sure. I remember picking up my original Stingray special at the time, I even remember the stick on badges. Great stuff.
It makes sense that it would be the first, as Stingray was the current 'new' TV show at the time (though Thunderbirds was being worked on), but, like I say, I've read the claim being made for each of them being the first (not at the same time obviously) on different sites, so I can't say for certain one way or the other. I also remember those badges, and the Cosmic Capers Kit.
