FOCUS ON NIGHTLIFE

I love taking photos showing London city centre at night. Generally speaking my favourites usually involve short time exposures to capture the lighting detail.

Here's one for Bond fans like me, the S.I.S. building.

Scotland Yard

Parliament Bridge Street during rush hour.

The London Eye

The River Thames

Houses of Parliament during refurbishments

The Cenotaph at early evening

Westminster Bridge

Horse Guards Parade

  1. Some superb shots, Scoop. I really like the clash of almost neon colours, against the darkness of night.

    1. Yes, the city takes on a whole new look at night. The Gherkin does light up as far as I can remember, Brian, but that is in another part of town. Maybe next time, eh. :)

    2. Super snaps Scoop. The light beams make it look like Trons in town, a really great effect. London never looked so good at night!

  3. Nice pictures of my hometown.

Thank you Scoop for not showing the ads at Piccadilly Circus which were the only 'night' shots always published.

    1. Thanks Andy, I must say although I'm not that fond of busy cities, I do like visits to the Capital.
