ReplyDeleteI notice you have the second version of Callisto. The first one had longer rubber borders above the plastic boots. I always wondered why they shortened them. (Or maybe it was the other way around - anyone know?)
ReplyDeleteAs with many toys, Kid, there are a lot of variations. My original Callisto was short boot and he arrived aroud 1969, this one I picked up much later in 1983. DeleteTook a look - very interesting. I take it that Mattel made Matt Mason's head bigger to match Storm, Davis, and Long, but I wonder why they didn't just make their heads the same size as Matt's first smaller head?
