I think the top illustration seems more inspired by the film ZARDOZ, and Sean Connery as Zed, wearing a red nappy plus some sort of Wrangler Jacket. But without the knee-high leather boots, pony tail, chest wig and Zapata moustache.
I think youre onto something there Bill. The nappy connection is inspired. I was wondering if there was a bit of Starbuck thrown in. From Battlestar G?
Now you mention it, he does look like a Starbuck clone, and the jacket has that "BSG combat" look. This is getting stranger and stranger, Starbuck in a red nappy! - Who on earth was the artist? And what were they sniffing!?
ha ha. Not sure about the artist Bill. This Spanish magazine was prolific. There are dozens of covers online mostly with 'lifted' cover art. I reckon the artist had changed his kid's nappy when he did this one! There's more to come - all the greats: ALIEN, Star Wars and Barbarella!
