Sixteen 12
have shown a couple of preview photos of
part of the packaging for their soon to be released New Adam, New Eve and Exiles
die-cast Eagle Episode sets.
They look
fine, and hopefully I’ll be taking some photos of the models themselves very
soon, but what caught my eye was the brief mention on the box of another
addition to the sets. It’s another Retro Eagle, and this time in the style of
the old Dinky Freighter toy.
Sixteen 12
already have their Retro Eagle Transporter in production which, although it has
yet to be released, is selling well through pre-orders.
There are no
other details at this time, but I expect Sixteen 12 will do a formal announcement
in the fullness of time.
So, while we
wait I thought I’d a few photos of my original Dingy Freighters in suitable
surroundings of course.
I don’t know
whether Sixteen 12 will go for the white or blue colour scheme, they might even
do both. Personally, I’m quite fond the blue freighter’s look.
Your freighters look fabulous Scoop and your photography really does them proud. I like the blue metallic finish as well. I imagine Sixteen 12 will have no trouble selling retro freighters!

The orange engine bells were all down to cost cutting at Dinky, Ranalcus. The first versions were chrome which looked a lot better. The 12" Sixteen 12 ones will have chromed engine bells.
